Texas Stars

Texas Stars are round (actually 10 sided) gemstones with a 5 pointed star visible in the base of the stone. The way the cut is made emphasizes the star which shows very clearly through the crown. This is the State Gemstone Cut of Texas.

THIS GEMSTONE HAS BEEN SOLD.

We do have a 2 very large Imperial Topaz Texas Stars that will be available shortly.
This gemstone is impressive to say the least. It is a nice light to medium-light reddish orange. A collector would find this gemstone a real treasure. It is quite attractive. I would use this gemstone in a very large pendant. Expect to be noticed a lot when you wear this stone. This is possibly not a gemstone for the shy.

Topaz is a Type I stone which means that one expects it to have few inclusions. For this stone type, SI2 means that inclusions are very obvious using a 10X magnifier. They would be expected to also be noticeable to very noticeable to the unaided eye. I was unable to see any flaws in this gemstone with my unaided eye even with a careful examination. The magnified photo shows these inclusions.

This gemstone would be interesting with the following matching but smaller stone. A ring and a pendant?

When you combine the interesting fancy cut to the impressive size and lovely color, this gemstone is quite outstanding and essentially unique. It would be difficult to imagine something in a gemstone that would make the wearer more memorable.
