This is the largest amethyst that we have had from our cutter. It is breathtakingly beautiful in appearance!
A very deep purple with a lot of magenta flash. When you do take the time to look real close, there are a couple
of very tiny inclusions visible in this stone. One would expect an inclusion in such a large gemstone. This gemstone
is so lovely that it is almost a sin to mention the inclusion. It is possibly the deepest purple that I have seen
in any gemstone.
This stone was cut from a large group of amethyst and ametrine that came from Bolivia.
(At less than $7 a carat, this gemstone is a must buy. VERY Impressive! It looks almost like a tanzanite!)
Price: Only $195.00.

This is an exceptionally interesting and attractive gemstone. It has a large, slightly elongated oval cut.
As most of you know, ametrines are a combination of citrine and amethyst. In many cases these two colors of quartz
are separated and show as separate colored sections of the gemstone. This stone was cut in such a direction and
of ametrine that is partially blended. The result of this is that I cannot really describe the color. From one
angle it looks like a medium shade citrine, from another it looks kind of smoky or rose smoky, and from other angles
it shows itself as a rosy amethyst peeking through. Quite lovely and difficult to describe.
To my unaided eye, this gemstones appears flawless. Using a 10X magnifier, I at first though it was still perfect.
Careful examination showed a very minor blemish on one of the facets.

This gemstone is both exceptionally large and brilliant. The photos never seem to capture the full brilliance
of a checkerboard-cut gemstone such as this one. In a standard cut oval gemstone, the top is made into a flat plane
called the table. On a checkerboard-cut oval, this flat table is replaced with a series of diamond shaped facets
arranged in a dome-like top. These many facets break up the light reflected back from within the stone into a series
of brilliant flashes in every direction. It is very impossible to catch the brilliance in a flat photo of what
is a 3-Dimensional light show, but take my word that this stone is brilliant! It would surely be very difficult
to find a larger and more brilliant citrine.
This color of this citrine is a nice, medium to medium-light gold or lemon gold. It appears flawless to my unaided
eyes. Using a 10X magnifier, there were no flaws that I was able to focus on. The brilliance hid anything that
might be there from my tired eyes tonight. Possibly when I wake up, I will find something, but it would have to
be very tiny.
I am told that the rough citrine for this gemstone was mined in Brazil.
Price: $195.00 (At less than $4.50 per carat, this stone is great bargain. Merry Xmas.)

When the size of a gemstone gets quite large, a standard cut will not bring out the full brilliance of the
gemstone. More facets are required. While a standard round has less than 60 factors, a Portuguese round has more
then 110 facets. The cut of this citrine brings out an intense flash and sparkle. This is a lovely and brilliant
gemstone!
This color of this citrine is a nice, medium to medium-light gold or lemon gold. It appears flawless to my unaided
eyes. Using a 10X magnifier, there were no flaws that I was able to find. As often happens with a very large gemstone,
there is a difference in shade of the color within the gem. As this stone was cut, the shading differences spiral
around the center making the star at the center appear slightly lighter and brighter than the deeper facets around
the crown. This is quite a striking stone as a result of this unusual cut and pattern.
I am told that the rough citrine for this gemstone was mined in Brazil.

This oval rose quartz is a lovely, medium-light rosy pink. Because I cannot risk being accused of "gender
harassment," I cannot refer to the color as feminine or as a panty pink. How about if I call it a baby girl
pink? Whatever the name, this stone is lovely.
As you may know, most rose quartz is only translucent and makes lovely cabochons. I believe that only in Madagascar
is rose quartz found that is so transparent that it makes lovely faceted stones. This is one from that area and
the largest, faceted rose quartz that I have ever seen. Remember that rose quartz always
has at least a little bit of "milky" haze to it. In this faceted stone, there is only enough of this
to make the stone appear more mysterious and glow when iluminated from the side.
This gemstone appears flawless to my unaided eyes. The slight haze is noticable and makes it glow. No inclusions
were readily visible to me using the 10X magnifier. It is possible that some may have been hidden by the combination
of brilliance and slight haze.
Price: Only $119.00. Try to find another one at this size, clarity, and price!
