Miscellaneous Gemstones

This miscellaneous section will include a number of gemstones that we currently do not have in sufficient numbers to merit making a new section. Many of these listed here will be rare and unusual, and you can expect the types to change rapidly as new unusual types are posted and old ones are sold. Because there are so many types of gemstones listed here, we cannot make room for a large description of each type. Send us E-Mail if you have questions about the properties of any type.

The response to gemstones on this page has been very good. We are in the process of posting new types and gemstones.

Extra Large Multi-step Cut Oval Kunzite
14 mm X 11.8 mm - 9.51 carats

There are two photos of this gemstone in different lighting. The flares in the photo are a result of its intense brightness. This is one I might keep myself. When you have a step-cut oval of a gemstone that has a high refractive index, the result is not only bright but one where rays of light move around when the gemstone is tilted.
This is a fantastic and truly beautiful gemstone. The gemologist who has certified several other gemstones has identified it as a Kunzite of "Fine" quality. I can get this one fully certified if someone wants it. While I cannot see any inclusions or any flaws of any type in this gemstone, I would be curious what she could see if she was told to certify the gemstone rather than just identify the gemstone. Both Morganite and Kunzite get their pink colors from manganese, and they are very often found in the same mines. This one was sold to me as a Morganite.
Code: KUN102
Price: Only $190.00.
